Goodfellow Durant Vineyard Pinot Noir Heritage n°8 Oregon 2016

Heritage Cuvées is a limited bottling of the wines that have stood out as the most compelling, beautiful and age-worthy wines that the vintage has to offer. Pinot Noir's most profound expression is a place, and these wines are always single vineyard designates. The 2016 vintage produced a set of highly elegant and nuanced wines in our cellar. The cultural heritage
No. 8 is a selection of only two puncheons from the Durant Vineyard that were of even greater quality and balance from the start.

Goodfellow Family Cellars is a wine producer owned and operated winery in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley. Founded in 2002, and producer approx. 4000 cases annually, we focus on old vine plants in unique and beautiful places, conscientious agriculture, and techniques for tradition in the cellar.

Durant vineyard sits on a gentle east facing slope rising from 200-700ft in the heart of the Dundee Hills. Pinot Noir sits in the middle of the hill, rising to about two-thirds of the way up. Optimally situated for collecting gentle morning sunshine, cooling the plants in the afternoon and draining cold air down the hill. The iron infused clay soil gives wines from the Durant vineyard a silky texture, classic Dundee Hills aromatics, and weightless power. Paul Durant is the second generation of Durants to cultivate this 60-acre vineyard, first planted in 1973.
