These wines are produced from grapes hand-picked at Jackson Estate's own vineyards, which are the heart of Kendall-Jackson's entire wine production. Every single grape used for the Vintner’s Reserve series is grown on vineyards in the cool coastal areas of California, all of which are under the control of Kendall-Jackson’s skilled viticulture team. This gives the winemakers the best conditions when the finished blends are to be made in the winery. As Kendall-Jackson's late founder, Jess Jackson, said of the Vintner's Reserve series: "Our goal is to make wines that you will enjoy the first time you taste them - and for many years to come." This elegant wine has been aged in small French and American oak barrels (11% new). A full-bodied wine with a very nice color and an intense fruity aroma. An absolutely fantastic fruit taste of raspberries, blackberries and plums with a silky touch of cedar. The wine has a perfect balance between oak and fruit as well as a long and pleasant slightly spicy aftertaste.
