Weingut Nigl Sauvignon Blanc Kremstal 2019
Weingut Nigl is set in the picturesque surroundings at the foot of Senftenberger Kirchenberg Mountain in Austria.
Nigl has been named Winemaker of the Year by both Falstaff and WINE & SPIRITS magazine and WineSpectator has awarded him the "Critics Choice Award", and his wines have repeatedly won top rankings on points combs with, among others, WineSpectator, Vinaria and many more.
Martin Nigl practises sustainable agriculture, never uses herbicides or insecticides, plants covering legumes and herbs and avoids copper, which is a mainstay of the biodynamic arsenal but which he considers to be harmful to the vitality of his vine and harmful to the soil.
In the basement, Nigl works almost exclusively in stainless steel, uses only ambient yeast, uses gravity to collect impurities. It results in wines that are some of the most crystal clear, transparent.
