Chateau Lascombes Margaux 2010
With 118 hectares, of which 112 hectares are located in Margaux and 6 hectares in Haut-Médoc, Château Lascomes is one of Médoc's largest properties. The castle has a very long history, which can be traced back to 1625.
The castle wine has always been a "bestseller" in the export market, and especially in the United States the wine has been in high demand. This is mainly due to Bordeaux icon Alexis Lichine, who, with a number of Us investors in the back, took charge in 1952. In record time, he expanded the vineyards of properties by about a 100th century. Virtually all fields were included in the castle's 2nd cru status, although there was no case for classified fields.
The new American owners, who took over the property in April 2001, have undergon a major renovation and restructuring to bring Château Lascombes into higher altitudes, and a class which is rated as 2. Cru Classé worthy.
