The Grand Cru field Les Beaux Monts is up and down the mythical fields of Romanée-Conti, La Tâche and Richebourg, where Romanée Conti, who year after year makes wine for several thousand kroner per bottle! So the geography is in order, and so is the price. Domaine Daniel Rion takes under a hundredth less than the neighbors.

Daniel Rion founded Domaine Daniel Rion et Fils in the small Côte de Nuits town of Prémeaux-Prissy in 1955. From 2 hectares to 18 hectares, it has gone, and the domain is now managed by brothers Cristophe and Olivier Rion. Old vines, organic cultivation, tremendous attention in the field provides wines that have depth, fruit, purity and class. The Rion brothers use new casks according to the vintage and field, so the house style is deep, intense, rich and with notes of ripe mothers, scout hail and bitter cocoa.
