Frederiksdal is the story of passion, innovation and the courage to think new. In 2006, landowner Harald Krabbe was at a crossroads. His 24 hectares of Stevn cherries were sold to the juice industry, but the low prices made it difficult to see a future in the precious fruits. The plan was to uproot the trees - until a chance meeting changed everything.

Chef Jan Friis-Mikkelsen and journalist Morten Brink Iwersen, with their love of wine production and knowledge of the area's unique cherries, convinced Krabbe that the potential for something greater lay hidden in the fruits. Instead of supplying raw materials to the industry, the goal was to create a luxurious and high-quality cherry wine directly at Frederiksdal Estate. With this decision, a new era began. The three visionaries set about refining the iconic Stevn cherries and turning them into wines that have since set new standards for Danish wine production. Frederiksdal quickly became known as a Danish 'wine castle', where tradition and craftsmanship meet innovation.

Frederiksdal Kirsebærvin is not just wine – it is a tribute to Danish ingredients, a vision of quality and a story of creating something extraordinary from the local. A wine that proves that luxury does not need to be imported, but can be created right here in Denmark.
