Marchese Antinori Brunello di Montalcino Pian delle Vigne Toscany 2013

For almost a century, Pian delle Vigne has been Marchesi Antinori's interpretation of what the prestigious wines from Brunello di Montalcino can and should be about. A very well-turned and always very reliable wine in all vintages, which from the very beginning has been known to the large barrels with elbow room enough that the Sangiovese grape has always been allowed to show itself from its more subtle and feminine side.

The wine got its name from some station buildings, which lie along an old railway track that crosses the areas that Antinori acquired back in 1995, when the old family dynasty also had to use the Brunello Express.
