Ruffino Greppone Mazzi Brunello di Montalcino Toscany 2010

Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi di Ruffino was born in the vineyards of the Greppone Mazzi estate in Montalcino, and is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for about 2 weeks, so further maceration takes place on the skins for another 10 days. The wine is refined in oak barriques for 36 months, and for a further 8 months in the bottle.

Greppone Mazzi is characterized by a ruby red color, with small garnet reflections. On the nose, it opens with an intense and elegant bouquet with hints of cherries, plums and cassis, enriched with pleasant notes of cocoa and tobacco. On the palate it is with an important structure with round and elegant tannins. The wine has an excellent balance, with a pleasant aftertaste of notes of red fruit, where hints of chocolate and sweet tobacco are found.
