Single-field wine from the world-famous field Juffer-Sonnenuhr in Brauneberg on the Moselle.
Juffer-Sonnenuhr is a south-facing, very steep vineyard directly down to the Moselle in Brauneberg. Schiffmann-Junk has 5,000 m2 of Riesling wine in this field and a small part of them are vines that are more than 110 years old. The harvest yield is reduced and only the absolute best grapes are used. This Spätlese is a special and especially delicious wine with a a symphony of fruit sweetness, balanced acidity and undertones of citrus and apricot. Juffer-Sonnenuhr shows itself from its finest side with emphasized minerality and acidity from ripe grapes. Beautiful, crisp and fresh. Elegant to Foie Gras.
The Schiffmann-Junk family has been producing fantastic wine for almost 400 years on the field Juffer and Juffer-Sonnenuhr near Brauneberg. Schiffmann-Junk is a small producer and the total production is 30-40,000 flasks per year.
