Hampden Estate was founded in 1753 and has been distilling rim for almost three centuries in the Trelawny Parish, historically known as the Grand Cru of Jamaican rum. Renowned throughout the world for its full, intensity flavourful rums, Hampden Estate has always produced quintessential, heavy pot still pure single rums, using unique methods that gurantee its remarkable aromas and truely exceptional taste.
Hampden Estate is known for producing a large variety of distillates. Depending on multiple parameters such as the length of the fermentation or the addition of dunder, the distillery will produce a specific type of rum called "mark". LROK stands for Light Rum Owen Kelly, one of seveal marks made at Hampden Estate and refers to a rum with a hogh ester concentration, ranging from 200 to 400 gr/hlpa. This mark created in 1952 belongs to the Wedderburn category, i.e. the heavy rums. In this case the easter centent is of 334,7gr/hlpa.
