The Montebello distillery was founded in 1930 by the Dolomie family, where the distillery is located in the eastern part of the island of Basse Terra in the French department of Guadaloupe. The Montebello distillery, which was born as a small family-run distillery, has faced the most diverse and historic upheavals, and several times passed from hand to hand, was virtually unchanged until they hit the 1970s, when the distillery really began to grow. Today, there are more than 30 people employed at the Montebello distillery, which means that the distillery produces up to 500 thousand liters of rhum and the year of high quality, where most of the space that comes is intended for the French brand. The production process that by making the different rhum Montebello makes is not followed by the Marsolle family who are in charge of the administration of Montebello.
This rhum dates from 1982 and has a storage life of 24 years.
