Glendronach Original 12 Years Old 43%
Highland Single Malt Whisky
Deep in the east Highland Hills, The Glendronach Distillery has been quietly perfecting sherry wood maturation since 1826. Our founder, James Allardice, built his distillery in the fertile landscape of the Forgue valley and named it "GlenDronach", which means "valley of the brambles" in Scots Gaelic. Here, he discovered the rich depths of sherry wood maturation, marrying Scottish spirit and Spanish cask.
Little has changed over the centuries, our craftsmen using the same iron mash tun, wooden washback and saxophone-shaped copper pot stills as their forefathers did. Our signature expression, The Glendronach 12 year old, epitomises our unyielding dedication to the mastery of our craft. Matured in fine Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry cask from Andalucía in Spain, this richly sherried Highland Single Malt Whisky present smooth vanilla, soft fruits and a memorably long, nutty finish, for which it become renowned.
