Chateau Kirwan
3 Cru Margaux 2021
Château Kirwan overlooks the Margaux appellation from the Cantenac plateau. 37 hectares of gravel and clay, where the different soil types contribute to several layers of flavor in the wines. There are 45 different plots here. The Merlot vines in the "Cabinet Ouest" plot, with its layered clay, produce round, fleshy, balanced vines. Closer to the château, the sun is reflected dazzled by surface gravel in the "Mois de juin" parcel in the middle of the estate, where Cabernet Sauvignon matures well and delivers Kirwan's velvety tannins. In the distance you can make out the "Canon" grounds, located at the highest point of the vineyard. Here, Petit Verdot vines grow in gravel and contribute to the grape's characteristic signature.
