Capitain-Gagnerot 2021
Aloxe-Corton 1ér cru Les Moutottes
Maison Capitain-Gagnerot was founded in 1802 in Ladoix-Serrigny, right on the border with the Côte de Nuits. Since then, the domain has been passed down through the generations to Pierre-François and Delphine, who manage it today. They own 16 hectares of vineyards, which are cultivated with respect for nature and partly according to biodynamic principles. Among them you will find, for example, one of the only monopoly fields in Ladoix-Serrigny: Premier Cru'én La Micaude, and parcels of Grand Cru fields at Corton. All the grapes are harvested by hand, sorted thoroughly and de-stemmed before pressing. The pinot noir ferments in open tanks without added yeast, with punch-downs twice a day. Aging lasts 12-18 months, but never with more than 10% new oak.
