The Story Behind Tignanello
Tignanello was introduced in 1971 and is created from grapes from the historic Chianti vineyard Tignanello, located in the hilly terrain with soil of "Galestro" and "Alberese" rock. The area has an ideal sunny exposure and an altitude between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. In 1975, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc were combined with Sangiovese to create the unique blend that Tignanello is known for today. The wine is aged in small oak casks and further refined in the bottle to ensure its complete character.
