When Johann Geil visits us for this exclusive tasting, we will not only have the opportunity to taste some of the most characterful wines from Rheinhessen but also a unique chance to delve into the history of a family that has dedicated their lives to the art of winemaking.
At the heart of Rheinhessen, three generations at Weingut Geil have shaped and refined their wines. Johannes & Elisabeth Geil-Bierschenk run the winery together with their daughters and grandparents, Karl & Monika Geil-Bierschenk. Together, they work with dedication from vineyard to cellar, maintaining an uncompromising approach to quality and craftsmanship.
In recent years, Weingut Geil has been a key player in defining what to expect from top wines from Rheinhessen. Their philosophy is simple yet uncompromising: a focus on the authentic expression of grape varieties, careful manual work in the vineyards, and technical precision in the cellar to ensure wines of outstanding quality. Johann Geil is also active in the association Message in a Bottle, where a new generation of winemakers in Rheinhessen works towards sustainability and innovation.
