Christian Drouin
Hors d'Age
Hors d'Age 18 years aging
Produced in the Pays d'Auge from bitter, bitter-sweet, sweet and sharp cider apples by double distillation in copper stills, the Hors d´Age is aged for more than 18 years in a collection of former Calvados casks. These add their refined, silky tannins along with floral and spicy notes. On the palate it is powerfuk intense and supremely elegant.
The Calvados House Christian Drouin was founded immediately after World War II by Christian Drouin, who had a goal of producing the world's best calvados. In 1960, the house decided to produce its own calvados - and the first bottling in the house's name took place about 20 years later. Since then, the house has received several awards for their products.
