Barros Lagrima White Port

Porto Lágrima is a fresh white port wine with a harmonious sweetness. The grapes for Lágrima are hand-picked at optimal maturity. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are stalked and pressed. The vinification takes place traditionally. During fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18 ° C, the wine is "turned" all the time until the desired sweetness (baumé) is achieved. Then grape spirit is added to obtain the final liqueur wine. By mixing wines from different harvests with varying levels of ripening in stainless steel tanks and on casks for a minimum of three years, the result is achieved - a full-bodied and aromatic wine with a perfect level of sweetness. The wine got its name from the Portuguese word for tears "lagrimas". The wine is so concentrated that it collects like tears on the edge of the glass and runs down into the glass like tears. It is beautifully golden in the glass and has a rich and elegant scent with a predominant aroma of honey and dried fruit. Full-bodied and well-composed. A harmonious wine with a particularly aromatic aroma. Serve this port wine chilled alone or with dried fruits. The harmonious sweetness goes perfectly with foie gras or desserts with fruit and ice cream.
