Blanton’s Original Single Barrel Bourbon is the epitome of true Kentucky bourbon whiskey. This is an exclusive single barrel bourbon where every bottle comes from one unique barrel. No blend. No blending. Just pure, uncompromising quality straight from the barrel.

Blanton’s was the first bourbon in the world to be marketed as Single Barrel. The tradition goes back to Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who bottled his private reserve barrel separately almost 100 years ago. That philosophy lives on today. Each bottle represents a specific barrel, carefully selected and bottled by hand.

This edition was bottled on May 21, 2025 from Barrel No. 721, aged at Warehouse H, Rick No. 42. It is individually selected and bottled at 93 Proof, corresponding to 46.5% alcohol. This means intensity, depth and a character that can never be duplicated – because once the barrel is empty, the edition is gone forever.

Producing single barrel bourbon is both costly and time-consuming. Each barrel develops differently during aging. Only the master distiller determines when the whiskey has achieved the perfect balance between cask, sweetness and spice. That’s why there is no age statement on the bottle. Instead, you’ll find precise information about the cask and storage location – a seal of quality for connoisseurs.

The story behind Blanton’s

Blanton’s has its roots in the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, one of America’s most historic distilleries. Colonel Albert B. Blanton worked here for over 50 years and became known for his uncompromising approach to quality. He personally selected the best casks from Warehouse H for his private consumption.

In 1984, the tradition was made official and Blanton’s Original Single Barrel was launched as the world’s first commercial single barrel bourbon. Since then, it has achieved cult status among collectors and bourbon enthusiasts worldwide. Each bottle is still hand bottled and individually labeled – a tribute to the craft and history.
