L´Ecole Ferguson Vineyard Walla Walla Walley Washington 2018

L´Ecole No 41 Walla Walla Valley
Ferguson Vineyard 2018

The composition of this vintage Ferguson Vineyard 2018 from consists of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 5% Petite Verdot.
The family-owned winery L’Ecole is located in the Walla Walla Valley; an enclave bordered by the larger AVA, Colombia Valley in eastern Washington. There are many hours of sunshine here, and there are far between rain showers. In fact, the area gets up to 60 more minutes of sunshine per day on average than Napa Valley! On the other hand, the valley is cooled at night by the cool mountain air from the nearby Blue Mountains. The large temperature difference between night and day provides ideal conditions for fully ripe fruit that still has acidity and structure intact.
As winemakers in the 3rd generation, L'Ecole has both tradition and know-how, and over time the house has become a standard-bearer for sustainable wine production in the region. Since 2011, which was the first vintage with the Ferguson vineyard, it has become one of L'Ecole No 41's most prominent Bordeaux blends.
