A H Riise 1888 Copenhagen Gold Medal
A.H. Riise Rum is a tribute to one of the most entrepreneurial Danes, Albert Heinrich Riise, who successfully ran his pharmacy in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas in the period 1838 to 1878.
There was an international format over Copenhagen when the city in 1888 hosted the store Nordiske Industri, Landbrugs & Kunstudstilling, which was held in an area that covered the new Town Hall Square, Tivoli and the Industrial Association's building.
A.H. Riise also participated in the large Nordic Exhibition at the West Indies Pavilion with her room and was awarded a gold medal for "Excellent" product. It is this honor and event that is celebrated as we enjoy this special 1888 Gold Medal Edition Rum.
