For more than 20 years, Plantation Rum Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel has explored the world of rum and its various terroirs in serch of traditional production methods. For this one-time limited edition, he travelled to Barbados to birthplace of rum, where he handpicked just 20 casks at West Indies Rum Distillery.

In Plantation Rum´s signature double-ageing technique, this unique expression is aged 8 years in Barbados, then shipped by sea to the south-west of France, where it maturedanother year in French oak Ferrand casks.

Staying true to the island traditional blenmding technique, this Barbados 2013 combines rum distilled in both column and the venerable Gregg pot still, dating back til the 19th century, for a mellow yet complex expression.
