Glenfarclas 12 Year Old is an iconic Highland Single Malt, representing more than 185 years of tradition and craftsmanship. The distillery, located in the heart of Speyside, has been family-owned since 1865 and is now run by the sixth generation of the Grant family. Known for its classic sherry-aged style, Glenfarclas has built a reputation as one of the most authentic and characterful Scottish whisky producers.

Tradition and Craftsmanship
Glenfarclas means "Valley of the Green Grass" in Gaelic, and the distillery is idyllically situated at the foot of Ben Rinnes mountain. Distillation takes place in some of Scotland’s largest copper stills, which continue to be direct-fired – a rare method that ensures a rich and powerful spirit. The maturation process occurs in traditional dunnage warehouses, where the whisky develops its character in the finest European oak casks, previously used for Oloroso sherry.

Tasting Profile:
Color: Natural, deep golden amber.
Nose: Fresh and enticing with sweet notes of malt, honey, and sherry.
Palate: Full-bodied and well-balanced with rich notes of dried fruit, spices, and dark chocolate.
Finish: Long, warm, and spicy with a lingering sweetness.

A Whisky with History
Glenfarclas is renowned for its unwavering quality and dedication to traditional production methods. The distillery’s independence allows it to stay true to the authentic style that has defined Glenfarclas for generations. Glenfarclas 12 Year Old is the perfect introduction to the house’s signature sherry-aged whisky and a must-try for any whisky enthusiast seeking a classic, full-bodied, and nuanced Speyside single malt.
