There was a time when Domaine Collotte in Marsannay-la-Côte had only 3 hectares of vineyards. In recent years it has grown significantly. In 2016 the domain owned 15 hectares and in 2017 17 hectares. The majority of the 17 hectares of vineyards are located in and around Marsannay, but the domaine also has vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle and Fixin. "17 hectares is about as much as we can handle," says Isabelle Collotte. There is a limit to what we can do with our resources and still do a good job”.
It was Isabelle Collotte's grandfather who decided back in 1979 to produce and sell his wine under his own name. Isabelle Collotte is taking on more and more of the responsibilities from her father Philippe, who in 1981 took over the day-to-day operations from her father.
