The Italian vineyard, Castello Banfi, located near Montalcino in Tuscany, has a total of about 3,000 hectares. The vineyard was founded in 1978 and today about 1,000 hectares of wine have been planted. In addition, the vineyard has one of Europe's most advanced wineries, as well as a 11th-century fortress, decorated as a luxury restaurant. The winery is today very well known for producing good wines of very high quality. Castello Banfi has clearly proved this by winning several recognized competitions and also 12 times the race with the beautiful title of "Best Italian Vineri" by Vinitaly. The wine is produced from Pinot Grigio grapes grown in Montalcino in the Tuscany region. This white wine has been stored exclusively on steel tanks in order to maintain its fresh and fruity character. It is a beautiful white wine with light straw yellow colour and an intense, fresh and fruity scent of pear, banana, peach and citrus fruits. The taste is lively and persistent thanks to the good acidity, well balanced and fresh taste of ripe fruits.
