Sandeman 1970 Vintage Port

Sandeman 1970 Vintage

Sandeman was started back in 1790 by George Sandeman and in 1805 Sandeman was one of the first to brand the barrels with his initials GSC – (George Sandeman & Co) Brand names were unheard of at this time so they used a hot iron to the initials and it was groundbreaking to have one's signature on one's barrels, guaranteeing quality and that quality as well as origin.

Vintage Port must be stored for 2 years and must be declared as vintage port. So the grapes in this bottle are 1970 and were bottled in 1972
