The Paradise series originates from an exclusive selection of casks that were judged during a private tasting on April 12, 2019. Here, the best of the last 136 remaining Caroni casks were identified by the so-called “Tasting Bande”. Paradise #8 is the first bottling from one of these specially selected barrels.

The rum comes from Cask #6130 and was subsequently decanted into three demijohns of 54 liters each. These were stored in Caroni Paradise in Cognac, where the rum continued its development and achieved an extraordinary complexity. This method gives the rum a deep and concentrated character.

Cask #6130 comes from a special Caroni stock that was moved from Guyana in 2009. This historical detail makes the bottling even more interesting for collectors. The Caroni distillery, which closed in 2002, is now legendary among rum lovers for its powerful and distinctive style.

The bottle itself is a work of art. It was painted by renowned Trinidadian artist Che Lovelace and free-blown by Italian glass artist Massimo Lunardon. The combination of rum, art and craftsmanship makes this bottle a unique collector’s item.
