Billecart-Salmon Brut Nature Champagne – uncompromising purity and razor-sharp elegance

Are you looking for a champagne without dosage, where nothing obscures the honest expression of the grapes? Billecart-Salmon Brut Nature is made for the uncompromising champagne lover who appreciates precision, minerality and refined dryness. This is an extremely pure style where terroir, craftsmanship and finesse merge into a champagne with great gastronomic range.

It is a champagne that speaks directly to the senses – taut, sleek and elegant – and is equally at home as an aperitif as with oysters, caviar, sushi or Nordic cuisine.

Detailed description

This Brut Nature is impressively balanced between Champagne’s three classic grape varieties. Pinot Noir contributes structure and depth, Chardonnay adds freshness and precision, while Meunier rounds off with fruit and finesse. Vinification takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine’s pure and precise style.

A high proportion of reserve wine ensures complexity and continuity, while long ageing on lees adds depth, texture and aromatic finesse – without the use of dosage. The result is an uncompromising Brut Nature with extreme clarity and elegance.

Tasting notes

Appearance: Bright, clear golden color with a vibrant and elegant play of pearls. The bubbles are ultra-fine and persistent.

Aroma: Precise and refined nose with fresh citrus, green apples and subtle notes of freshly baked brioche and pains au lait.

Taste: Crisp, crisp and silky smooth at the same time. White peaches, lime, light almond notes and a distinctive, elegant minerality. Long, clean and elegant finish with great finesse.

The history of the house

:contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} was founded in 1818 and is still family owned – today run by the 7th generation. Based in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ near Épernay, the Champagne House is known worldwide for its uncompromising approach to quality, precision and elegance.

The house has around 100 hectares of its own vineyards and works with grapes from a total of around 300 hectares across more than 40 crus in Champagne. The majority of the grapes come from fields within 20 km of the cellars, ensuring optimal freshness and control. Areas such as Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs provide the raw material for some of Champagne’s most elegant wines.
