Vieux Sajous 4 Years Lustau Oloroso Cask 56.7% is a powerful and authentic cane juice rum from Haiti, created with respect for terroir and tradition. This special edition is aged for 4 years and given a characterful finish in Oloroso sherry casks from the renowned Spanish house Lustau, adding extra depth, spice and nutty complexity.

The rum is produced in Saint-Michel de l’Attalaye – an area known for its unique terroir and the cultivation of Cristalline sugar cane. Cristalline is one of the oldest and most authentic sugarcane varieties and is now grown almost exclusively in Haiti. It produces a rum with a distinct vegetal freshness, aromatic intensity and a distinctive character of origin.

Distilled traditionally, the high strength of 56.7% preserves the natural power and structure of the rum. The combination of Haitian cane juice and the oxidative depth of the Oloroso cask creates a rum with both freshness and dark, spicy complexity.

Tasting notes

Color: Golden amber with warm copper tones.

Aroma: Aromatic and intense with notes of fresh sugar cane, dried fruit, walnuts and sherry hints. Hints of spice, caramel and lightly toasted oak.

Taste: Powerful and full-bodied with a distinct cane juice character. The Oloroso cask contributes nutty notes, raisins and spicy sweetness, balanced by fresh acidity and a slight vegetal nuance.

Finish: Long and warm with lingering sherry notes, dried fruit and spicy oak.
