Montebello 8 years
Rhum Agricole Guadeloupe

The fragrant taste of this unusual old rum is achieved by long aging in the cellars of the Montebello distillery.

Aged in oak casks in respect of the tradition that has been passed down from father to son.

Rhum Montebello comes from Basse-Terre, which is the western half of the island of Guadeloupe. The distillery was founded in 1930, and is actually called Distillerie Carrere, but is better known today under the name of the largest rum brand: Montebello. The distillery itself has approximately 15 hectares of sugar cane (including Canne Rouge and Canne Jaune), and when that is not enough, they buy sugar cane from the local farmers in the area around Petit-Bourg.
