Based on Ferdinand´s Saar Dry gin, our Riesling-infused Saar Quince owes its name to the Royal Prussian District Forester, Ferdinad Geltz, the historiecal figure who also co-founded the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growers´group. Carefully hand-picked riesling grapes from the steep shale slopes of the Saarburger Rausch and over 30 finely balanced botanicals taken from the vineyards and our own cultivation are macereted with highly aromatic quince fruits from our trees behind the distillery. This golden-yellow "fruit of Aphrodite" as it is also known, is one of the oldest fruits in our cultures and forms the basis for our regional homage to traditional sloe gin.

Wint & Lila story:
The city of Cádiz was the most important center of brandy production in southern Europe in the seventeenth century. Here it was Juan de Wint (Knight of the Order of Calatrava) and Margarita de Lila, both of Flemish origin, engaged in maritime trade. With their marriage in 1645, one of the largest commercial shipping companies in the province of Cádiz was established.

The company Wint & Lila was responsible for the transport of alcohol for medical use for the traditional distilleries of the Guadalquivir Valley to Northern Europe. An alcohol that gave rise to the Dutch Genever, which the English would later replicate in the famous London Dry Gin due to its form of distillation.

Bertha's Revenge
Irish Milk Gin 42%

Bertha, a legendary cow from Sneem, Co. Kerry died in 1993. At the age of 48, she became the world's oldest cow, giving birth to 39 eye-popping calves in her lifetime. To perpetuate her memory, we've brought her back in spirit - literally! Using whey alcohol from Irish dairy farmers, our own
natural spring water and incorporating an interesting blend of local forage and cultivated botanicals, we have handcrafted a gin that reflects Bertha in her prime. A fragrant nose, soft mouthfeel and warming, spicy middle notes that reflect her motherly core, and a long, fruit-driven finish to celebrate her longevity.

Ballyvolane - literally translated from Gaelic as "the place of leaping heifers" - a testament to the fertility and natural diversity of the land where the estates are located. The highly acclaimed Ballyvolane House practices a branching field of philosophy when it comes to food. Our Riesling-infused Sar Dry Gin owns its name to the Royal Prussian District Forester Ferdinands Geltz, the historical figure who also co-founded the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growers´group. Carefully hand-picked Riesling grapes from the steep shale slopes of the Zilliken estate on the grand Saarburger Rausch site make our gin a unique taste experinence. The craftsmanship of our Master Distiller Andreas Vallendar and over 30 finely balanced botanicals taken from the vineyards and our own cultivation guarentee a high-quality product from the Saar region that promises supreme drinking pleasure.

Handcrafted Spanish gin. All 10 botanicals are soaked separately in 16L glass jars for 6 - 8 weeks. Then gently distilled in an old copper kettle from 1820. "au-bain-marie" Botanicals: Juniper, coriander, kvanrod, kvan seeds, cinnamon, orange-lemon and lime peel, orange blossom and mint. Intense citrus and fresh mint flavor.

Known as the "Queen of white grapes", the delicate distinctive and highly aromatic Riesling grape is the jewel in the crown of the Saar-Moselle region, historically one of the most important wine growing areas in Europe. Over 275 years of herritage, inspired us to craft a very special expression of our Ferdinand´s Saar Quince. Matured in 2017 Grand Cru Riesling Beerenauslese Barrique Casks, Ferdinand´s Saar Quince Reserve perfectly combines old world crafts with fresh inspiration.
This special bottling is strictly limited release of 1200 bottles and honours both the name and legancy of the Royal Prussian District Forester, Ferdinand Geltz (1851-1925)

For our Bertha´s Navy Strength gin, we have raised the ABV to a lip-pursing 57,1%, and have shuffed the botanical blend slightly to accentuate one or two of more pronounced flavour notes. The extra strength gives our merry crew of spices a megaphone through which to convey their message, which is as smooth as well-balanced as you would expevt from a cow riding at anchor.

To celebrate our 6th anniversary, Ferdinand´s has created a very special batch showcasing our famous noble sweet Riesling grapes macerated in our Ferdinand´s Saar Dry gin and bottled in our second porcelain collector´s edition.
"The queen of the white grape" is the botanicals of Ferdinand´s Saar dry gin. "Riesling from the cool tributary the Saar is one of the wine world´s most distinctive, least imitable wine styles: light, crisp, refreshing as a mouintain stream and somehow tasting of the slate which, by reradiating warmth overnigth, helps ripen so many Riesling wines" (Jancis Robertson.)

Munkholm gin no. 3 is a Danish navy strength made for us Eriksen Vinhandel. The "top of the bridge" refers to the high alcohol percentage, which gives a very intense and powerful taste.

The gin was made for - Eriksen Vinhandel - as a tribute to the local area near Holbæk.

This gin is characterized by classic juniper berries and Danish pinova apples that give a fresh and sweet twist.

Munkholm gin is a Danish organic gin, made for Eriksen Vinhandel, as a tribute to the local area around Holbæk. It is made with passion and with the love of gin, and is distilled from the best ingredients. The first notes that hit the nose are the fresh rosemary. The gin is pleasantly balanced by sweet and sour citrus notes.

With this Munkholm Gin no. 1, you can add fresh rosemary that has been pounded into your glass as well as orange peel and you get a fantastic gin&Tonic.
