Apples are strong symbol for Nikka and iften assiociated with the relationship between Rita & Masataka Takesturu, as he started his business activity with the production of apple juice and jams while awaiting for maturation of his first whiskies.

Nose: Full and rich in the glass, fresh apples and juicy pear aromas characterises this whisky - but the malt is not far with notes of cereal and leather. Then, another wave of fruit carries away scents of banana and juicy peach.
Palate: The first attack is elegant and silky. This whisky fully expresses a concentrate of fruit that brings even more consistency. With great subtlety, a lightly peaty flavour appears along with a well-balanced notes of wood, marked by sherry.
Finish: A long and complex finish with flavours of white fruit such as pears that create an excellent contrast with the notes of toasted bread. A hint od well-balanced liqourice and vanilla notes at the end.
