Distilled on January 20, 2013 and bottled straight from the cask on January 29, 2025, the whisky is all natural, with no chill filtration and no added color. The maturation is carefully crafted to bring out Craigellachie’s characteristic heavy distillate: first matured in a refill Oloroso sherry butt, followed by a finish in a refill ex-Oloroso hogshead. This combination gives a nice depth of warm sherry notes, dried fruit and spices, without overpowering the distillery’s distinctive style.

With an impressive cask strength of 60.5%, this bottling delivers an intense yet balanced flavor experience where power and elegance go hand in hand. A whisky that can be enjoyed both neat and with a few drops of water to open up further layers of aroma and flavor.

Tasting notes

Nose: Warm spices, sweet pastries and deep sherry notes with dark fruit.

Lady of the Glen – the house behind the bottling

Founded in 2012 by Gregor Hannah, Lady of the Glen has earned great respect among whisky enthusiasts for its uncompromising single cask bottlings. The name derives from an old and tragic ghost story from Stirling Castle and reflects the mystery and history that permeates Scotch whisky.

Since 2020, Lady of the Glen has been based in Dalgety Bay on the Fife coast overlooking the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh. Here, the whiskies are selected and bottled with a focus on authenticity: one cask, one distillery and one unique taste experience – always bottled naturally, without color and without chill filtration.
