The whisky is first matured in 100% first fill bourbon barrels, where it builds structure, vanilla sweetness and classic malt body. It is then finished for 12 months in Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads, adding deep syrupy sweetness, dark fruit and spicy heat. The combination creates a perfect balance between gentle smoke, intense sherry character and Glen Scotia’s signature subtle maritime notes.
