Black Tot Master Blenders Reserve 2022 is a tribute to the history of Royal Navy Rum – a powerful and deeply complex rum created for the discerning rum lover. This limited release is blended from some of the Caribbean’s most characterful rums and bottled at 54.4% for an intense and authentic navy style experience.

Blended with surgical precision by the Master Blender, it combines both pot still and column distilled rums from Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados – complemented by the house Eternal Reserve, which adds continuity and depth from previous blends. The result is a rum with massive structure, dark fruit, spice and classic navy power.

Blend composition

Guyana (29%): Pot still and column still rum. Youngest rum 2 years, oldest rum 30 years. Adds deep molasses, dark chocolate and structured power.

Jamaica (7%): Pot still rum. Youngest rum 22 years, oldest rum 27 years. Contributes intense aromatics, tropical fruit and distinctive ester profile.

Trinidad: Column still rum. Youngest rum 10 years, oldest rum 24 years (average 22 years). Gives elegance, dryness and balance.

Barbados (25%): Pot still and column still rum. Youngest rum 7 years, oldest rum 19 years. Adds warm spices and rounded sweetness.

Eternal Reserve (17%): A proportion of previous blends for continuity and added complexity.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Intense and deep with dark molasses, roasted coffee beans, cocoa and tropical fruit. Hints of licorice and spices.

Flavor: Rich and powerful with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, caramel and spicy oak. The high strength gives structure and length without losing balance.
