Glenfarclas Family Casks 1999 #7512 – Millennium Cask was distilled on December 31, 1999 and represents the essence of classic Speyside single malt with deep sherry notes, great complexity and uncompromising craftsmanship.

This bottling is specially selected for Denmark and bottled in an extremely limited edition of only 203 bottles. An ideal bottle for both the collector and the dedicated whisky enthusiast looking for something truly special.

The whisky has matured for over 22 years in a traditional sherry butt cask, resulting in an intense, rich and elegant flavor profile. Bottled at natural cask strength and without cold filtration – just as the Family Casks range is known for.

Tasting notes

Nose: Rich and classically sherried with notes of raisins, dried plums and dark cherries. Underlying nuances of orange peel, walnut, leather and a hint of dark chocolate.

Flavor: Full-bodied and rounded with great balance. Layers of caramelized sugar, dried fruit, spices, cinnamon and nutmeg. Elegant oak with a slight dryness that adds structure and depth.

Finish: Long and warm with lingering notes of sherry, cocoa, spice and mature oak.

About the history of Glenfarclas

Glenfarclas was founded in 1836 and has been family owned since 1865 when the Grant family took over the distillery. Through six generations, the family has maintained traditional production methods, including direct fired copper pot stills and long ageing in sherry casks. The result is some of the world’s most recognized sherry-aged single malt whiskies.
