Hampden LROK Magnum Series #2 13 Year Old is a spectacular Jamaican rum created in collaboration between Hampden Distillery and Velier. This special Alex Webb Edition is part of Velier’s coveted Magnum Series and represents some of the most authentic and powerful in modern rum.

The rum was distilled in 2010 and aged for 13 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica. The long tropical aging provides an intense development of aroma and structure, with evaporation concentrating the flavors and creating a rum of immense depth.

The distillate is produced in Hampden’s classic pot stills and bears the LROK label – a style known for its high ester content and distinctive Jamaican aromatics. During aging, the rum has developed complexity in ex-bourbon casks, contributing notes of vanilla, spice and deep heat.

The high alcoholic strength of 60% provides a powerful and intense flavor experience. At the same time, the rum is remarkably balanced and elegant. The result is a rum with both explosive aromatics and refined structure.

The story behind Hampden and Velier

Hampden Distillery in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica is one of the world’s most legendary rum distilleries. Since the 1700s, the distillery has been producing rums with a high ester profile and extreme aromatic intensity. Production still follows traditional methods of long fermentation and distillation in copper pot stills.
