From greatness to rebirth

Château de Laubade has been producing Armagnac since the beginning of the 18th century and achieved the status of Château Appellation Contrôlée as early as 1855. After a long period of decline, the château was taken over in 1974 by Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues who, with great passion and investment, rebuilt both the property and its quality.

Today, Laubade is once again one of the region’s most respected producers – with full control over the fields, distillation and ageing. The result is Armagnac with a clear identity and a great balance between fruit, cask and age.
