Tenuta Guado al Tasso Cont’Ugo Bolgheri DOC 2022 is an elegant and characterful red wine from Bolgheri in Tuscany. Produced by the famous Antinori family, the wine is a beautiful example of the area’s modern wine tradition. Today, Bolgheri is known for wines of great finesse, depth and international style.

Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the prestigious Bolgheri DOC area about 100 kilometers southwest of Florence. Although the appellation was only officially recognized in 1994, the region has quickly achieved great acclaim. The combination of Mediterranean climate, varied soils and cool sea breezes provide ideal conditions for growing quality grapes.

Cont’Ugo is made exclusively from Merlot grapes. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 45 and 60 meters above sea level. The soil is primarily clay, which gives the grapes a special concentration and structure. The result is a wine with deep fruit notes, great complexity and an elegant freshness.

The 2022 vintage is intense and harmonious with a great balance between fruit and structure. It is an excellent match for grilled meats, game, pasta with rich sauces and mature cheeses. At the same time, it is a pleasure to enjoy on its own in the glass.
