The Ultimate Debate 2018 Magnum – Napa Valley Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon
The Ultimate Debate 2018 Magnum is an impressive Napa Valley red wine that combines power, finesse and deep complexity. This wine is made from a blend of 62% Cabernet Franc and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, with grapes sourced from six carefully selected vineyards in Napa Valley. The result is a big and characterful wine that highlights the interplay between two of the world’s most elegant Bordeaux grapes.
The 2018 vintage in Napa Valley is considered one of the most successful in recent times. The growing season was stable and balanced, producing grapes with perfect ripeness, great acidity and well-integrated tannins. In this wine, the combination of Cabernet Franc’s aromatic elegance and Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure creates a wine with both depth and precision.
The Ultimate Debate is more than just a wine. The project was created with a vision of using wine as a social hub where people come together to share thoughts, ideas and perspectives. The name reflects this philosophy – that wine can open up conversations and create connections between people.
The grapes for this cuvée come from multiple vineyards in Napa Valley, providing a nuanced expression of the area’s terroir. By using the same vinification methods, the differences in soil, microclimate and vineyard character are emphasized. The result is a wine that tells the story of both its vintage and its origins.
Each vintage of The Ultimate Debate is traditionally delivered wrapped in a newspaper that highlights the year’s major debates from politics, sport and culture. This adds an extra dimension to the experience and makes the bottle a snapshot of the year in which the wine was created.

History of the house
The Debate was founded in 2010 with a vision to use wine as a platform for conversation and community. The project focuses on exploring terroir, grape varieties and the power of wine to bring people together.
