This wine is made exclusively from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Woodward Canyon’s own Estate vineyard – a rare and pure interpretation of the area’s potential.

The vineyard is located on the western edge of Walla Walla, surrounded by juniper, yellow pine and wormwood. Both old and younger vines grow side by side. The yields are microscopic, the quality towering. All grapes are hand-harvested with precision and the land is certified sustainable. The result is a wine with depth, structure and balance – created with respect for both nature and craftsmanship.

The story of Woodward Canyon

Woodward Canyon was founded when Rick Small planted 41 acres of vineyards on his family’s former wheat field in 1976. By 1981, Woodward Canyon Winery was a reality – just the second winery in Walla Walla. Today, it remains a family business, with both Rick’s wife and children actively involved in the operation.

Working in the field is at the heart of the philosophy. The family has been farming for four generations and all fields are Salmon Safe certified. They are committed to organic and biodynamic farming – a clear testament to the house’s dedication to sustainability and quality from farm to bottle.
