Beenleigh #173 15 years old Australian Rum 65,2% 2023
Silver Seal Whisky Company

Beenleigh is the oldest registered distillery in Australia, established in 1884 as the legal successor to the SS Walrus, a floating moonshine still that was sailed between sugarcane plantations to avoid the local police. The boat’s still was used to open the distillery, which prospered during the 20th century, out-selling its rivals Bundaberg brand during the 1960s and 70s. Subsequent decades were less favourable however, seeing it lose its market share amongst a series of ownership changes. The discontinued Beenleigh brand was resurrected by Stuart Gilbert in 2000 however, and when he sold it to VOK Beverages in 2012, they also bought the old distillery, reuniting the two and ushering in a second age of Beenleigh rum production. The distillery operates a continuous column still installed in 1981, and a copper pot still dating from 1887.

Silver Seal was founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000. This was Mainardi's second bottling company after the esteemed Sestane in 1979. Both companies were sold to Massimo Righi in 2010, with Ernesto's original releases becoming increasingly prized possessions by collectors.

Ferrand Renegade Limited Edition no 3 2021
Eau de vie de vin 48,2%

Jamaica rum barrel:
Long ago, before today´s cognac AOC definitions, cognac was aged in a variaty of barrel types, including rum casks. Surprisingly, the practice of using rum barrels has been forgotten and was not included in subsequent AOC regulation. Rhis is why we have to call it an Eau-de-vie and not a cognac. For years, we have been exploring historic methods, and are proud to be able to offer this delicious eau-de-vie from another time.

Edition n. 3: Double maturation oak & Jamaican rum barrels:
In the attic of the 19th century Ferrand family manor, we found a 1912 advertisement in a newspaper called "Le vrai cognac" for rum barrels to sell to to cognac producers. Elie Ferrand VIII traded his own spiritus in the nearby port city of Bordeaux, and was surely intrigued by the "haut goût" of Jamaican rums and the potential for developing distinctively flavourful eaux-de-vie in their barrels. Today old cognac makers still remember ageing their precious cognacs in rum barrels.

We revive this venerable technique with our signature double-ageingprocess: Our 2011 vintage is first aged in French oak barrels, and then further matured in our own Plantation 1996 Jamaica HJC rum casks. Distilled at Jamarica´s famed Long Pond Distillery, this rum´s tropical fruit and exotic spices notes, suffused in the wood of each barrek, impart subtle exotic nuances to create a truely original eau-de-vie brandy.

Caroni 17 year old Trinidad Rum 55%
– A Legendary Treasure from a Closed Distillery

Experience a true gem from Trinidad’s proud rum tradition! Caroni 17 year old Trinidad Rum (55%) is a rare and highly sought-after rum from the iconic, now-closed Caroni Distillery. This exceptional rum, distilled in 1998, has undergone 100% tropical aging for 17 years, intensifying its character and complexity. With its powerful, dry, and well-balanced profile, highlighted by woody and spicy notes with a hint of dark chocolate, this rum is a tribute to Caroni’s golden era.

Exceptional craftsmanship and unique tropical aging
Caroni 17 year old is crafted in the heart of Trinidad’s Caroni Plains, surrounded by sugarcane plantations that have provided raw materials for some of the world’s most renowned heavy rums for over a century. Aging in Caroni’s tropical climate means that 80% of the rum evaporates during maturation – a phenomenon known as the Angels' Share. This results in a concentrated and powerful taste experience, unique to authentic Caroni rum.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense aromas of dried fruit, tobacco, and oak, with subtle hints of vanilla and dark caramel.
Palate: Powerful and deep, with notes of spices, burnt sugar, leather, and dark chocolate.
Finish: Long and persistent, with a beautiful balance between dryness and sweetness, rounded off with slightly smoky and woody nuances.

Caroni – A distillery with a legendary history
Founded in 1923, Caroni Distillery was known for its distinctive style and heavy, aromatic rum, originally produced for the British Navy. The distillery was closely tied to Trinidad’s sugarcane production, but when the country’s state-owned sugar refinery closed in 2003, Caroni was inevitably forced to shut down as well.
This Caroni 17 year old rum is a rare treasure from a lost distillery – an authentic taste experience that brings the greatness of the past to today’s rum enthusiasts. With a label that is an exact reproduction of an original from 1940, this bottle pays tribute to the golden age of Trinidad rum.

Santos Dumont XO
Superior spirit drink made from premium matured rum from Brazil, Centen America & West Indies.

Santos Dumont is a rum based spirit drink made both molasses and cane juice. Conventional rums are generally into either English, Spanish or French. This is something else entirely. We have created the perfect balanced between the traditional slow fermented molasses distillates from the West Indies and Central America with the traditional cane juice from Brazil. "Santos Dumont XO" blend is truely in a category all of its own.
The peerless "Santos Dumont XO" inherits its variaty of aromatic flavour from years in beautiful old barrels, which creates a smooth, rich and warm taste of ripe fruits and honey-like flavours. The precious drops touch the palate with a pleasant viscosity and a buttery feel oin the tongue. The experience finishes with a velvety soft and delicately sweet aftertaste with notes of vanilla and coconut.

This excellent bottle is named in honour of Alberto Santon Dumont (20th july 1873 - 23rd july 1932) who was a world-famous aviation pioneer, aristocrat, celebrity and style icon. He was the heir of a wealty family known as the coffee kings of Brazil, and from the sugar cane grown on the plantation, they distilled cachaca.
In 1891, Santon Dumont moved to French, where he designed, built and flew his first airship. His conquest of the air began, in particular, with winning the "Deutsch De La Meurthe" prize in october 1901 where he flew round the Eiffel Tower. This event made him one of the most famous people of the early 20th century. In 1904 Alberto Santos Dumont complained to his friend Louis Cartier of the unreliability and impracticality of using pocket watches while flying. Cartier consequently designed a flat wristwatch with a distinctive square bezel. This unique watch was liked by not only Santos Dumont himself but also many other appreciative new customers. The "Santos" was Cartier´s first men´s wristwatch.
