Messias Baptista was admitted and registered as an individual merchant at the Tribunal do Coméricio de Anadia back in 1926, also representing Messias. Between 1930 and 1940, Messias acquired several properties in the Bairrada region, after planting new grapes, as well as restoring other properties he had acquired. Between 1938 and until 1943, Messias built the headquarters, which is still used today, with a full basement and warehouse, which is one of the company's most important production units. In 1953, the company becomes a limited company and is renamed Sociedade Agrícole e Comercial dos Vinhos Messias, and until 1973, when Messias renounces the administration of Messias and passes the baton to his successors. Today, Messiah producers naturally produce port wines and have several wineries that also produce sparkling wines, as well as non-sparkling wines, and today they export 65% to the five continents.
