Château Langoa Barton Saint-Julien 2017 – 3rd Grand Cru Classé from Bordeaux
Château Langoa Barton 2017 is a classic and elegant red wine from the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation in Bordeaux. Classified as 3ème Grand Cru Classé in the famous 1855 classification, the château is known for wines with finesse, structure and great ageing potential.
The property has been owned by the Irish Barton family for more than 200 years and through nine generations. This continuity and deep respect for tradition and terroir is an important part of the castle’s identity and is evident in the style of the wine – classic, balanced and elegant.
The vineyards are located in the heart of Saint-Julien, an area famous for producing some of the most harmonious wines in the Médoc. The soil is primarily gravel, which provides perfect drainage and ideal conditions for the Cabernet grapes. The vines have an average age of around 37 years, with some parcels dating back to 1953. Older vines produce lower yields, but more concentrated and complex grapes.
The wine is made from a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The combination provides the structure, fruit and elegance that characterize the best wines from Saint-Julien.
