Plantation Rum Single Cask 27 Years Panama 1992-2019 is a monumental and uncompromising rum, selected as the 10th single cask edition from Eriksen Vinhandel. Distilled at Alcoholes Del Istmo S.A. in Panama and aged for an impressive 27 years, this is a rum for the serious collector and the passionate rum lover.

This Panama rum has undergone an exceptionally long and complex maturation journey. First, 25 years of tropical aging in bourbon barrels, where the heat and climate of Panama concentrated and refined the distillate. Then 1.5 years of continental aging in Ferrand casks in France, which adds structure and elegance. Finally, the rum is aged for a further 6 months in a Teeling Single Malt whisky cask, adding an extra layer of malt, spice and depth. No dosage (0 g/L) – pure and unadulterated character.

Bottled at a powerful 51.1%, this rum delivers exceptional intensity, complexity and balance.

Tasting notes

Nose: Fruity notes of orange, blackberry and apple, accompanied by spicy and malty notes. Develops towards grass, cocoa and dark chocolate.

Flavor: Full-bodied and concentrated with a more pronounced spicy profile. Cloves and cinnamon are accompanied by apricot, vanilla and fresh lemon.

Finish: Extremely long and persistent with spicy and woody notes, licorice, walnut and honey.
