The vineyards stretch over sun-drenched slopes along the Fonchotte River. Southeast-facing vines enjoy the early morning sun, which gives the grapes optimal ripening and concentration. Yields are deliberately limited to ensure the highest quality. Only the finest Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are used in this cuvée.

After long maceration and careful winemaking, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. This gives it a full body and balanced structure. The blend consists of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a wine with silky smoothness, rich spice notes, and excellent aging potential.

Château Pierrail offers an intense bouquet of blackberries and blackcurrants. Subtle hints of dark chocolate, leather, tobacco, and spices enhance the flavor. House History:
Château Pierrail comes from the ancient de Segur family. The estate sits on a rocky outcrop overlooking the valley where the Fonchotte winds through the landscape. The château was built in the 17th century with a classic facade and two towers. Over the centuries, it has been home to notable owners, including the barons de Brianson. Their portraits still hang in the main salon. This history and tradition give the wine soul and character.
