Compagnie des Indes 5 Years Latino Rum is a harmonious and well-balanced blend of carefully selected rums from some of the Caribbean’s most recognized rum countries. This rum has been developed with a focus on softness, richness and a rounded character that makes it both suitable for enjoying neat and as an excellent base for classic rum cocktails.

The blend consists primarily of rum from Guatemala, which makes up around 60% of the content. The rest of the rum comes from Trinidad, Barbados and a small amount from Guyana. The combination of these different rum traditions creates a complex and balanced rum where elegance, sweetness and spicy nuances come together in a beautiful interplay.

All the rums in this blend have been aged for a minimum of 5 years in former bourbon barrels. The barrels add warm notes of vanilla, caramel and lightly toasted oak to the rum, while the aging rounds out the alcohol and creates a smooth and accessible flavor profile. Before bottling, a small amount of organic cane sugar syrup is added – 15 grams per liter – giving a slightly rounded sweetness and an extra smooth mouthfeel.
