Briottet – A family legacy from Dijon with over 100 years of passion
Maison Edmond Briottet is a French family-owned company with proud traditions. The story dates back to 1836, when the company began as a wine merchant under the name James Demontry. In 1841, the first Crème de Cassis was created in Dijon, sparking a growing interest in fruit liqueurs. In the early 20th century, Edmond Briottet joined the business and left his mark on the product range, which has since evolved into an impressive selection of exquisite liqueurs.
Since the 1940s, the house has focused exclusively on liqueur production, and today Briottet is known and loved worldwide for its expertise and dedication to quality. Six generations have carried on the craftsmanship and recipes that form the backbone of their unparalleled liqueurs – including Crème de Châtaigne.
