The story behind Edmond Briottet – French craftsmanship since 1836
Maison Briottet is a family-run liqueur house in the heart of Dijon, with roots going back to 1836. It began as a wine business owned by James Demontry, but in 1841 a revolution occurred: Crème de Cassis was created – and a new era began.
Through six generations, the Briottet family has carried on the art of liqueur-making with deep respect for tradition and raw ingredients. In the early 1900s, Edmond Briottet joined the company and truly set the focus on liqueur production. In the 1940s, wine production was abandoned, and all energy was dedicated to the house’s fine liqueurs.
Today, Edmond Briottet is an iconic name in French liqueurs – known and loved worldwide for their uncompromising quality and taste.
