Enmore 23 year Small Batch is a powerful and characterful rum from Guyana, bottled by Rum Nation in the Small Batches Rare Rum series. Here you get true Demerara intensity, great age and cask strength in one exclusive bottling. Only 670 bottles were released in 2020.

The rum was distilled in 1997 at Enmore Distillery in Guyana and aged for 23 years. It’s a blend of two very old rums with the same age but different cask finishes. One part has been finished in sherry casks, the other in whisky casks. This combination creates depth, complexity and a nice balance between dryness and sweetness.

The style is classic British Guiana with a distinctive character and intense aromatic profile. At 57.6% strength, the rum is powerful, concentrated and honest. This is a rum for the experienced enthusiast looking for structure, complexity and a long finish.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Intense and estery with aromatic notes of cinnamon, cloves and a hint of camphor. Beneath the spicy layer are dark fruit and dry wood notes.

Flavor: Full-bodied and dry with a clear structure. The sherry cask contributes raisins and ripe dates, while the whisky cask adds spice and depth. The balance between the casks is precise and elegant.

Finish: Long and persistent with spices, dried fruit and a slightly bitter, refined wood character.
